Soran
Korean Barbeque is typically served in a dingy fluorescent lit space with plastic flooring. I’m not saying that those kind of bb-q places don’t have their charms, but if you want Korean barbeque in a better-looking, yet convivial and unintimidating atmophere then you must try Soran. Soran is in a big building conveniently located between the Hakdong and Cheongdam intersections. You can’t miss the lime green sign. Soran has three floors with high celinings and alot of natural light flowing in. There are several outdoor areas (including a rooftop terrace) furnished with wood walls, trees, rocky floors and aluminum chairs. The interior is colorful and lofty with each section having a different Asian-inspired color scheme. There are also private rooms available. At Soran you can get all the BB-Q favorites like bulgogi, grilled meats, pork and different stews (kimchee chigaee, twenjang chigaee).
