TELL ME ABOUT IT

'Tell Me About It' is a restaurant for chicks. Everything is pink, fluffy and feminine. There are chandeliers, flowy curtains and pretty European-like chairs, some of which have zebra-print pattern on them. It’s a place where Apku girls wearing skirts and high heels sip strawberry daquries, kir royals and cosmopolitans. If you are one of the male species, don’t expect to find your favorite beer and a screen to watch sports. In fact, you may find that you are the only man in the whole place. (This may not be a bad thing, depending on how you look at it.) Tell Me About It is a great place to take a date, especially before or after going to see a chick flick.
Although the décor looks like a girl’s powder room, Tell Me About It does have it merits. For one, it enjoys a great location off of Dosan Park in Apkujong, which makes it a great place to lounge and people watch.
There’s also a nice outdoor terrace with white chairs (not pink) where they serve a magnificent brunch. You can choose from the ‘Hangover Brunch’ which includes strong coffee, apple juice and a minestrone soup with toast (you can even ask for aspirin if needed!) Or, have the Parisian Brunch with a croissant with orange-flavored scallop, yogurt with honey, scrambled egg and a strong Parisian coffee Hungry people can have the American brunch- scrambled eggs and caviar, bacon and potatoes and pancakes. This brunch also includes a mimosa and a Bloody Mary!
The lunch and dinner menu is European and is actually quite good in general. Choose from appetizers like foie-gras, beef carpaccio and calamari. Or, have a rucola or nicoise salad. For the main course choose from main dishes like salmon millefeuille, Provencale-style chicken, pan-seared pork tenderloin and filet mignon. There are also a few pasta choices. The menu changes from time to time according to the season. The service is excellent, the wine list is quite good and the presentation of the food is also top-notch. For this fine-dining experience, expect to pay Apkujong prices. In conclusion: If you are a girly girl, or if you’re a guy who wants to date girly girls then you might just think this place is the bees knees.
