CLUB CALIENTE
Want to learn to salsa? Want to watch people dance a few songs before you step onto the dance floor (you have convinced yourself is almost the same as slamming your head into a wall)? OR, are you looking for that partner who can keep up and help you show off your mad skills?
Caliente has an eclectic crowd that is sure to keep anyone occupied, whether you come to dance or to just meet people. Since it is in Itaewon, many foreigners wonder and wander in to catch a glimpse of what Seoul has to offer the salsa-curious. Also, this club attracts the most Latinos than any other club in Seoul.
Due to the diversity of its patrons, DJ Josh has a hard job appealing to everyone. But he is good and keeps the dance floor gyrating. DJ Josh plays a wide variety of old and new Latin music, and his reggaeton (the Spanish version of reggae i.e. the pop song “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee) song selection is what keeps people coming back.
To get to Caliente, take exit 4 at the Itaewon Station. Walk a short distance until you see a neon horsehead sign for Nashville Restaurant. Calientes is on the top floor.
