Café IMA
is a terrific place to grab a coffee or a light lunch if you’re
in the city hall area. The Café itself is in a historical
building which now houses the ilmin gallery. The mixture of old
tradition and artsy modernism makes for a really interesting atmosphere.
The ceilings are high and the place is bright and cheerful. The
big windows make it a great place to people watch as well. Café
Ima is more than just a café. They also have delicious pastas,
paninis and sinfully enormous desserts. Surprisingly, the price
is relatively inexpensive considering the location and atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the word is out and it’s rather difficult to
get a table there at lunchtime, so it would be wise to reserve in
advance. Café Ima is located in the building adjacent to
the Kyobo building. (139 Sejong-no Jongno-gu) 02-2020-2088
