Seoulstyle.com is an online guide to stylish living in Seoul for English speakers. Through comprehensive reviews, articles, photographs, and up-to-date information, Seoulstyle.com strives to connect English speakers to people, places and events in Seoul that will help them appreciate Korean society. Our mission is to help people develop an understanding of this dynamic culture as they enjoy life and have fun in Korea.
Our Vision:
The vision of SeoulStyle.com is to bring Seoul to the world's doorstep. We aim to raise the profile of Seoul globally by giving people insight into Korean culture, life and society. Through collaboration with other organizations, SeoulStyle.com aspires to help increase tourism and attract foreign investment. By providing online English information, we also hope to aid local businesses that can benefit from having foreigners contribute to the success of their establishments.
In March 2004, Seoulstyle was created as the personal blog of Liza
Lebeda, a sociable expat living in Seoul, South Korea. At
it's inception, seoulstyle was little more than a few party
photos and an online journal, but as the website`s popularity
grew, so did the content . (Click

There were a lot of sites about Korea which were informative
yet generic. Most websites focused on tourism or getting
a job in Korea. Until seoulstyle came along, there was no
comprehensive online guide in English
for leisure activity information and Korean pop culture
information. In addition, none of the websites gave a personal
insight as to what life is like as a foreigner in Seoul.
In March 2005, seoulstyle was completely redesigned and
was reborn as commercial guide (with a personal touch) about
living a stylish life in Korea.

ABOUT SEOULSTYLE
The new bars section looks great! I just got back from Shanghai and I was a bit over
Seoul
but getting your newsletter suspended my reality for a little bit. I look

I visited here via the article in Korea Herald. Usually when I read it, I just take a few articles, choosing to read yours was so good choice. I was astonished how can you all know those as a foreigner. Even some places I didn't know. This homepage seemed to contain real aspect of Korean people. As a citizen of Seoul, I want to express my apologies because I didn't do anything for foreigners but you did it. Anyway thanks a lot. Many people want to visit Seoul and it will be a great reference for them. Thanks again.

charming and witty to say the least.

Nice to read something fresh, as opposed, to the stale rhetoric
and plagiarism we are accustomed to seeing. D

in your article in the April issue of SC. Quite an accomplishment.
An on-going accomplishment, at that. Appreciated the party

wait to try them! Good fotos, too. Thanks for an enjoyable
website. J
Footnote:
Here is a very important comment that I got from a reader
which I tend to agree with. Unfortunately, the thirst for
monetary success and superficial beauty has been deeply
ingrained into Korean society and I don`t think you can
reinvent the wheel overnight. Everyone has a different frame
of reference and it`s important to approach everyone`s point
of view with respect and an open mind.~ Liza
I
know your site is meant for entertainment...but i think
it sends the wrong message to average koreans who probably
can't afford to hang with the "beautiful people"south
of the river.
One of the things I don't like about Korea and Koreans is
their need to look good, impress, be better than others.
I think they should stop having plastic surgery (the unofficial
plastic surgery capital of asia), and start adopting their
own orphans!
I think they should be less concerned about buying gucci
bags knockoffs and running up credit card debt and start
giving to charity (americans give over $1,000/capita to
charities/koreans give less than $2.00!....this from a herald
tribune article last yr)
I think young people of korea should know they can be "beautiful"
and have fun without lots of mom and dad's cash, without
Apu address, without surgery, and without running up huge
credit card debt. Amen Brotha!
