ARVORIG

When you walk into the ARVORIG restaurant in Itaewon, you are greeted by the sights and smells typical of a cozy home. As you enter, you’ll be charmed by the sight of the first floor with its oversized leather chairs by the warm fireplace. On the second floor, you'll find intimate rooms with European wallpaper, rustic wood-beamed ceilings and decorative accents which were imported directly from the owner's house in Brittany.
ARVORIG takes you on a journey with its traditional and rustic cuisines: stews from Ireland, couscous from Morocco, fondues from the Alps, crepes from Brittany, meats from the Grill. You'll also findl gratins, salads, fish and seafood. You can choose to eat “A la Carte” or the weekly “Set Lunch” (15,000W for 2 dishes, 18,000W for 3 dishes). One of most popular menu items at Arvorig is crepes, a traditional dish from Brittany. These paper-thin pancakes are made with wheat or buckwheat flour (galettes). According to the Breton recipe, a well-made crepe needs to be cooked on an evenly-heated cast-iron griddle and, it needs to have just the right amount of batter to give it the proper consistency. There are various sweet and savory crepes to choose from at Arvorig. The traditional thing to drink with crepes is cider, a refreshing apple drink which is slightly alcoholic. Cider is available at the restaurant, but there is also a good selection of wine to choose from.
On weekends and public holidays from 11:00 to 4:00pm, ARVORIG also features a Brunch Platter (14,000 W) as well as an “All You Can Eat” Western style Brunch Buffet (27 000)
If you want to go for an aperitif or an after dinner drink, jet down to the cozy lounge bar on the first floor where you can enjoy a drink in an Arabian atmosphere. For heart-warming food in a relaxing atmosphere, head to ARVORIG. It’s located on the left from a small alley heading to Hyatt Hotel between Hamilton Hotel and Itaewon fire station. ARVORIG opens everyday for lunch from 12:00 to 2:30 pm (last order) and from 5:30 to 11:30 pm for dinner (11:30 is last order from Mon-Sat. Sundays the last order is 10:30 pm.)
