BONJI

This fairly large two story restaurant in Itaewon’s back alley specializes in yummy Asian inspired tapas (snacks which you typically share with others). There are menu items such as crab cakes, chicken skewers wrapped with bacon, bruchettas and hummous with pita. Bonji is attractive in a colorfully unpolished way. The first floor is painted celadon green and features a long bar. The folding glass doors on the first floor can be opened to give the place an outdoor café feel. The second story has rosy walls, beaded curtains and floor seating. Sumptous multi-colored silk pillows adorn the dark wood floor. This is not a place for a romantic fine dining experience, but it is a funky artsy place to enjoy snacks and drinks with big groups of people. At Bonji, you can even try a sampling of North Korean Liquors.$$-$$$ (116-7 Itaewon Dong Yongsan-Gu) 02 795 9656
