WOORI GARDEN

There are quite a few Korean Barbeque joints in Itaewon's back alley and competition to get customers is tough. Often guys stand outside of the restaurants trying to get people to come in. Woori Garden one of the newest and nicest of the bunch. The decor is simple. The walls are black and so are the chairs. Downstairs has floor seating and regular seating. There is also a second floor. The tables feature those long ventilators which suck the smoke away from the grill, so your clothes won't smell like bulgogi all night. Woori Garden has all the menu items you would typically find in a barbeque restaurant. They have pork and beef kalbi, Sirlion steak, samgyepsal (something akin to bacon). They also have the Korean version of steak tartare complete with egg! They have kimchee chigaee (spicy kimchee stew), dolsot bibimbap (rice with veggies and meat in a hotpot), samgyetang (ginseng chicken stew) and mool naengmyun (cold noodles in a radish broth) They also have haemool pajon which is kind of a seafood pancake. To go along with barbeque items you can order a platter of mushrooms or veggies to grill. 112-4 Itaewon-dong 3785-0743
